All-New 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor 4×4

Joining the Super Duty Tremor and Ranger Tremor is the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor 4×4 pickup truck. The F-150 Tremor combines all the off-road essentials and upgrades that make hitting the trails even easier, in addition to the F-150’s outstanding towing and payload capabilities.

The 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor is perfect for those who love going off-road and are seeking more than is available with the FX4 package, but don’t want or need the extreme F-150 Raptor. With the F-150 Tremor, you get the added capability you need for tackling tough trails without giving up the core functionality of your truck, including towing and hauling.

Like all F-150 pickup trucks, the Tremor uses a high-strength steel frame and military-grade aluminum alloy body. Every Tremor uses the SuperCrew and 5.5-foot box configuration, with a standard 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 and 10-speed automatic transmission, plus four-wheel drive and Tremor-specific suspension hardware.

Buyers can option a Torsen limited-slip differential to go along with the standard locking rear differential for even more capability. There is also an available torque-on-demand transfer case similar to the one available in the F-150 Raptor which can handle virtually any off-road environment.

Ford has also made available additional off-road technology, including a 360-degree camera with real-time tire track overlays, as well as features like one-pedal driving for rock crawling, Trail Turn Assist and multiple drive modes for any type of trail.

2021 Ford Edge Gets More Smart Features

Ford is updating the 2021 Edge SUV with new features and equipment for the new model year, including a new 12-inch touchscreen and refinements to the interior and exterior design. This makes the 2021 Ford Edge the go-to vehicle when it comes to connected technology and style in one package.

The all-new 12-inch touchscreen is the largest in its class and comes standard on Edge and Edge ST models. It features the new SYNC 4A system with optional Connected Built-In Navigation, as well as cloud connectivity, voice recognition, Adaptive Dash Cards and multi-tasking capabilities.

Cloud connectivity makes it easy to find what you are looking for using natural speech recognition, and SYNC can make suggestions based on your requests. SYNC 4A also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, removing the need to plug in your phone every time you get into your car.

There are also now more wheel options available for the 2021 Ford Edge, giving buyers more choice and customization. There are nine wheel options available, from the standard 18-inch Sparkle Silver-painted aluminum wheels to the 21-inch premium gloss black-painted aluminum wheels available on the Ford Edge ST. Additional exterior colors include Carbonized Gray and Lithium Gray.

Inside, Ford is offering new interior trim options, including a Ceramic interior option on Titanium Elite models, and a new Cloth interior option for SEL models. Ford Shows Power of New 3.5-liter PowerBoost in 2021 F-150

Not only is the best selling Ford F-150 getting fresh new styling and features, it is also getting an all-new full hybrid powertrain by way of the all-new 3.5-liter PowerBoost. The PowerBoost hybrid powertrain will be the only full-hybrid system available in a pickup truck, and it delivers more torque than any production F-150 ever, at 570 lb.-ft of torque in addition to 430 horsepower.

This makes the hybrid powertrain the most powerful engine available in the new F-150 lineup. To ensure it would hold up to the same workloads that other F-150 trucks experience on a daily basis, it had to pass the same tests as any other engine. Tests included off-road driving, freezing temperatures, high-humidity conditions, and towing fully-loaded trailers over mountain passes in high temperatures.

To test the durability of the 1.5 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, Ford engineers designed a unique test that violently shook the battery in multiple axises, simulating potholes, washboard roads and other daily abuse. They put the battery through the equivalent of 10 years of mechanical torture.

The unique hybrid powertrain also allows for some highly-useful features, including the Pro Power Onboard power source, which can deliver a standard 2.4 kilowatts of power, or available 7.2 kilowatts of power, which is far more than any other competing truck.

If you would like more information about the 2021 Ford F-150 and the full hybrid PowerBoost powertrain, please contact us today at Tuttle-Click Ford Lincoln in Irvine, CA.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Inspires Electronic Music

Inspired by the futuristic sci-fi sounds of the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, Detroit-based electronic music artist Matthew Dear has created a new song featuring the newest EV from Ford.

Ford sound designers worked with the studio Ozone Sound to create the electronic oscillations that are heard inside and outside the Mustang Mach-E. They were inspired by the sounds of classic 1980s sci-fi cinema and wanted to invoke those sounds in the new Mach-E.

These sounds caught the ear of Matthew Dear and he used them to create “New Breed,” which is a hypnotic electronic arrangement that embodies the Mustang Mach-E. You can listen to the song here and experience the sounds of the all-electric Mustang Mach-E for yourself.

“The idea of remixing the sounds from the Mustang Mach-E was immediately interesting because I’ve always considered myself to be a ‘sound tinkerer,’” said Dear. “But after I got to actually hear and experience the digital propulsion sounds that Ford created, I was sold on the project. The sounds are cooler than I thought they’d be — cinematic and sci-fi — and all the noises the car makes have a sense of modern musicality. Creating “New Breed” was a new experience and I think the song — like the car — takes its passengers on a voyage.”
